Topic: Beware of Personal Favoritism
Selected Scripture: James 2 1-9
Verse 8: The royal law, commanding us to love, is the king of laws. Comprehending all other commandments dealing with human relationships.
Verse 9 says: But if you show partiality, you commit sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors.
Key Point to Remember: To show partiality means to show distinctions among people based on their rank or influence, showing preference for the rich and powerful.
The impartial God shows to all people the same love, grace, blessings, and benefits of His salvation.
We are to love all people regardless of social or economic status. Love others the way Jesus loves you--unconditionally.
By God’s grace and mercy, seek to live in righteousness and peace in all that you do.
Additional Scriptures to Read: Galatians 5 7-15; Acts 17 26-29; John 13 34-35
I am praying God continues to bless us all: KEEP HOPE ALIVE
